Known as wardrobing, purchasing an item for a special event and then returning the used item, seems innocuous but is far from it. In fact, it’s considered returns fraud. In this scenario, the shopper returns used, but non-defective inventory. According to an Optoro returns survey, 30% of shoppers admitted to buying an item for a specific event only to return it after the event ended.
