A company backed by former AOL co-founder Steve Case’s venture capital firm and other investment heavy hitters is bringing about 300 jobs to the Greater Nashville area this year.
Optoro, a technology company that runs it own e-commerce website and partners with Amazon and others, plans to open its Southeast distribution hub in Mt. Juliet at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, the firm said in a news release.
The Washington, D.C.-based Optoro plans to bring 300 jobs as part of the warehouse and operations hub— making it just the latest company to anchor distribution operations in Wilson County, joining brand-name retailers like Under Armour and Amazon as well as international manufacturing powerhouse Nissan North America, which as we reported Tuesday is in the midst of doubling its own distribution footprint in Mt. Juliet.
